Mira Sorvino welcomes 4th baby with Christopher Backus
Mira Sorvino and hubby Christopher Backus have added another little girl to their gang, welcoming daughter Lucia on Thursday in L.A.
“We are thrilled beyond measure to have been blessed with our fourth precious, healthy child,” Sorvino told People, which first confirmed the news.
Wasn’t it only yesterday she was taking home the supporting actress Oscar for “Mighty Aphrodite”? OK, maybe not yesterday. Now 44, the “Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion” star is also mother to 7-year-old daughter Mattea and sons Johnny, 5, and Holden, 2.
Sorvino and Backus, 30, were married in June 2004 on Italy’s isle of Capri; Mattea arrived that November.
Her third pregnancy wasn’t easy going, E! News reported in 2009, with Sorvino calling Holden a “miracle baby” -- born after she spent two months in the hospital due to complications that threatened the lives of mother and child.
The actress managed to keep her fourth pregnancy off the radar.
