Marc Anthony, Shannon de Lima make debut as newlyweds at Latin Grammys
Marc Anthony and wife Shannon de Lima stepped out Thursday for their first red-carpet appearance as newlyweds.
The singer-songwriter-producer and the Venezuelan model got cozy in the front row at the Latin Grammys on Thursday night in Las Vegas, flashing their wedding bands -- and her 3-carat engagement diamond -- for the cameras, People reported.
Anthony was there for a lot more than the photo op, however: He performed twice on the MGM Grand stage.
Also, the tune “Cuando Nos Volvamos a Encontrar,” which he was featured on, was nominated for record of the year and song of the year and won for best tropical song.
“Cambio de Piel,” which he co-wrote, produced and performed for his album “3.0,” was nominated for record of the year and song of the year. The album was named best salsa album and nominated for album of the year.
Anthony, 46, and De Lima, 26, tied the knot in early November with a low-key ceremony held at his home in La Romana, Dominican Republic. They’d dated on and off since 2012, People said, and got engaged in March.
Anthony’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez was finalized this past June, years after the 2011 announcement that they were going their separate ways. He and De Lima broke up in mid-January 2013 after dating for more than a year, and then he reportedly dated twentysomething Topshop heiress Chloe Green for about a year, calling it quits in February and apparently reuniting with De Lima.
“The truth is they have been having a great time together, but it no longer worked,” a source told People about Anthony and De Lima at the time of their 2013 breakup. Looks like things are working for them now!
Anthony married Lopez only one week after his divorce from former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres was finalized in 2004. He and Lopez share custody of their 6-year-old twins, Max and Emme, who spend the bulk of their time with their mom.
Anthony also has two sons with Torres and a daughter, born in 1994, with Debbie Rosado, who was a New York cop.
