Mandy Moore, Ryan Adams file for divorce in ‘mutual’ split

Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams are reportedly divorcing after nearly six years of marriage.

The decision to split was “mutual,” according to a statement her rep gave People.

“It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time.”

The filing was a mutual effort Friday.

Adams, 40, appeared Friday in L.A. on CBS’ “The Late Late Show” and captured the moment in a photo on his Instagram account. The actress and pop singer, 30, was mum on social media.

The two dated on and off for about a year and a half before marrying in March 2009 after a four-week engagement.

He hung up on a Australian radio interviewer in September when questions turned to his marriage and the interviewer wouldn’t take no for an answer.

“I was really nice about it the first time, and I’m sorry, but I won’t repeat myself,” he explained later via BuzzFeed, according to Us Weekly.

“The deal is this: I’m a private person and I’ll be a gentleman and say I’m not talking about my marriage ever. I’ll never talk about it. Ever.”

So don’t expect much more beyond that statement, fans.
