‘DWTS’ pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Peta Murgatroyd are engaged

Maksim Chmerkovskiy has asked Peta Murgatroyd to be his dance partner for life -- they're engaged.

The former "Dancing With the Stars" pro and guest judge proposed to Murgatroyd, who just wrapped up the latest season of the ABC dance competition earlier this month, in Miami on Saturday.

The so-called "bad boy of the ballroom" popped the question on the dance floor in front of a live audience during a performance of "Sway: A Dance Trilogy" at the Olympia Theater. Then he made the "she said 'yes'" announcement on Instagram later that night.

"I'm in love with you, and I will be in love with you for the rest of my life," said Chmerkovskiy, 35, according to fan footage from the theater posted on Instagram.

Chmerkovskiy told Us Weekly that he "kind of knew a couple of years ago" that he wanted to marry the Aussie stunner.

"But it’s a process. With this family, the hardest part of the process was to keep it a secret. …this was definitely the best decision I ever made," he told the magazine.

"Maks' romantic proposal is something I will cherish for the rest of my life," Murgatroyd, 29, told People. "I'm excited for the next chapter in our lives and to plan the wedding of my dreams with Maks."

The Ukrainian hoofer, who's been dating Murgatroyd on and off since 2012, presented his future bride with a custom-designed Cantamessa ring, the mag said, which she flaunted in several Instagram photos after the proposal.

"I said yes!!!!!! You have my heart forever my love. Love always wins @maksimc," Murgatroyd wrote, captioning a serious make-out photo with her new fiance.

Shortly after that, congrats from their "DWTS" family started pouring in on social media.
