Lady Gaga mistakes mariachi festival for pride parade -- but, hey, you love who you love

Longtime LGBT supporter Lady Gaga accidentally expanded her circle of love Sunday to include the M community as well: Mariachis!
Posting a picture of herself with arms flung out, "GAY" scrawled in red on her chest and "PRIDE" on her abs, the pop star proclaimed on Instagram, "Watching over Chicago Pride from my apartment and smiling so big. So many happy people. Happy pride!! #lovewins."
Lot of happy people were assembled on the ground below, yes. But -- they were happy about the Chicago Mariachi and Folklórico Festival, which was underway at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park. The pride gathering was elsewhere in town.
"This is just about the coolest things I ever saw," Mother Monster said, posting a follow-up picture. "It feels good to know how many of my friends and loved ones are out celebrating and feeling valued. #lovewins."
You know who was celebrating? The Mariachi Heritage Foundation.
"Lady Gaga shares a photo yesterday overlooking the Mariachi & Folklorico Festival at Millennium Park from her hotel room, thinking it was Chicago's Pride Fest! ," the foundation said, posting her first picture on its Facebook page Monday. "'So many people' she says! Thank you again for helping us make history! #GagaHasMariachiPride""
It then crossed into meme territory, Photoshopping a sombrero on her head and "mariachi" onto her chest --
Gaga is engaged to Taylor Kinney, a star on "Chicago Fire," which is shot in the Windy City. Their Chicago adventures have also included taking the icy Polar Plunge into Lake Michigan back on March 1.
