Lady Gaga shows off her completed David Bowie tribute tattoo

The ink has set: Lady Gaga is flaunting a brand new David Bowie tattoo that's a tribute to the late singer.

The pop star, who delivered a kinetic send-off to the music legend during Monday's Grammy Awards, showed off the design at a V magazine party on Wednesday in New York City.

"Thank you @brandonmaxwell @sarahtannomakeup @fredericaspiras for my V magazine party look! I had the most wonderful time," the 29-year-old wrote on Instagram, sharing a glam shot that showcased her tattoo peeking out of a strategic cut-out in her black gown at the event.

The "Applause" singer has several other tattoos — most of them on her body's left, "Iggy Pop" sidebecause her father once requested that she remain "slightly normal," and that normalcy is reserved for her "Marilyn Monroe side." A treble clef on her back, daisies on her shoulder, flowers on her hip, a German quote on her arm and a unicorn on her thigh are just a few of the designs that adorn her skin.

The Golden Globe-winning "American Horror Story: Hotel" star revealed that she was getting her latest body art — a slight variation of Bowie's iconic headshot from his 1973 "Aladdin Sane" album — few days before the awards show. The work was done by tattoo artist Mark Mahoney, whose process she chronicled on Snapchat. The cover makeup was also projected on Gaga's face at the beginning of her Grammys performance.

"When I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls," Gaga told the Hollywood Reporter just before Bowie's death. "[Bowie] is a true, true artist and I don't know if I ever went, 'Oh, I'm going to be that way like this,' or if I arrived upon it slowly, realizing it was my calling and that's what drew me to him."

The British rock musician and actor died last month just days after releasing the critically acclaimed album "Blackstar" on his 69th birthday.
