Kylie Jenner celebrates high school graduation with famous siblings, a Rolex
They grow up so fast! Kylie Jenner has finished high school and her mom, Kris Jenner, threw her a surprise party to celebrate.
The youngest daughter of the Kardashian momager and Olympian Caitlyn Jenner announced on Twitter that she's done with school and posted snapshots of her with cap, gown and diploma from online home school, Laurel Springs High School.
"Today, for the first time, I am very excited about tomorrow for no damn reason. Just that I'm alive & I have a wonderful life to be lived," the 17-year-old tweeted on Tuesday, adding, "Oh AND.. I finished school last week.. & I know I never post on social media when I'm in class but that doesn't mean... I don't encourage education! Because I do! gooooodnight."
Kris Jenner and "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" producer Ryan Seacrest threw the elaborate shindig for Kylie and sister Kendall Jenner, who graduated in 2014, on Thursday. Jenner's selfie-loving daughter chronicled the affair on Instagram and Snapchat.
By Friday, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner brood went on the defensive about her achievement, appearing to justify why she posted about her promotion after criticism she received online.
"That's what's wrong with today. If you don't show or 'prove' to social media that you've done something it's like it never happened!" she tweeted. "my reality is.. I only show people what I want them to see. No one knows what goes on in my day to day but me & who I share my moments with."
At the party, family and friends welcomed a surprised Kylie and sister Kendall Jenner in the foyer of Kris Jenner's Calabasas mansion. The youngest Jenner posted pictures of her graduation gifts, including a Cartier nail bracelet and gold Rolex watch, and a glut of videos of herself dancing with sisters and friends.
Her older, half-sister Khloe Kardashian, who appeared to be accompanied by rumored beau James Harden, was featured twerking in several of the snaps and Kourtney Kardashian, sister Kim Kardashian and Kim's husband, Kanye West, shared several images of photo booth pictures. (Caitlyn Jenner did not appear to be among the attendees).
The celebration took place in the Kardashian momager's lavish backyard, where synchronized swimmers performed and Kylie and pals, including her rumored man Tyga, grooved on the black-and-white dance floor.
Showing off her diploma, the home-schooled teen thanked her mom for making the experience "as normal as possible."
It's unclear if the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan will go on to college or pursue similar business endeavors just like her siblings. In January, the trend-setting teen told People that once she finishes high school, she wants to keep doing what she's doing now: "I love fashion ... I have a lot of interests I'm pursuing."
