Kim Kardashian’s sexy selfie has her strolling down memory lane

When Kim Kardashian posted a steamy hot photo of herself this week on Twitter, it was as if the reality-TV starlet had swung back into her old, pre-Kanye West ways. Let’s recap: Sexy swimsuit? Check. Sultry makeup? Double check. Showing off her, er, assets? Heck yes.

OK, so maybe Kardashian was just showing off her post-pregnancy body?

But it was a reminder of the Kardashian we used to know. Because the Kardashian we’ve grown accustomed to lately has definitely changed up her sartorial choices, makeup decisions and hair hues while she continues to date rapper West.

So here’s a little run-through of some of the adjustments Mommy Kim (whoa, weird) has tended to:

Buh-bye color: Long gone are the lemon yellow dresses and firetruck-red skirts and in has come one-color palettes. White head to toe. Black toe to head. Everything nude. And the glittery flourishes were kicked to the curb.

White-hot: Speaking of the color white, Kardashian has developed an affinity for white swimsuits. There was her most recent low-cut number, and a previous white Michael Kors bathing suit with gold accents.

Oh-K: One to obsess over the letter “K,” (Are we sure momager Kris Jenner hasn’t tried to trademark it, as if it could be trademarked?), Kardashian further indulged her K-flaunting habit by adding a “W,” to make “KW,” featured in several accessories such as hoop and mini earrings.

Mwah: Her glossy sweet pink and nude colored lips have been swapped for matte vampire burgundy tints.

Accesso-rawr: Either Kardashian scared off her cheetah-print scarves and snakeskin bags, or they scared her off. They no longer exist in the West days.

Golden girl: Instead, the accessories now come in the form of gold -- like, lots of gold. Gold chunky chokers, gold skinny belts and gold cuffs. And after her daughter North West was born, Kim donned a gold “Nori” necklace -- the baby’s nickname -- that got lots of attention at Paris Fashion Week.

Baby couture: While at Fashion Week, Kardashian took to Instagram with several photos of North’s haute couture clothing gifts. The skirts, sweaters and slip-ons came from power fashion houses Maison Martin Margiela, Lanvin and Celine. In other words, the goods came from West’s close companions.

Brand talk: In addition to the brands listed above, there’s also the influence of West’s good pal Ricardo Tisci of Givenchy. It’s that very desinger that Kardashian has been wearing over and over again. Quite the change from her expensive-clothes-from-boutique days.

Saucy glossys: Kardashian moved on from everyday fashion magazines like Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar to uber high-fashion, high-art, if you will, glossies. While very pregnant, Kardashian landed the cover of French editor Carine Roitfeld’s CR Fashionbook, shot by Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld and directed by Tisci. With West, there was also a racy cover of the pair on the French magazine L’Officiel Hommes. Kardashian also appeared on the cover of DuJour, a high-end magazine aimed at New York’s wealthy.

Neither hair nor there: While Kardashian did take on blond-ish highlights after her breakup with Reggie Bush, her decision to go all blond was a bit of a shocker. “[West] loves it. He was a big cheerleader for her to go blond,” said Kardashian’s colorist George Papanikolas.

Pretty sure Mr. West may be loving all the rest too. Oh yes, he really is.
