Kim Kardashian divorce made final the day after her baby shower
Kim Kardashian’s divorce from Kris Humphries has been made final — a year and seven months after she filed to end their short-lived marriage.
The judgment was entered Monday night in L.A. Superior Court, according to People.
That means the couple spent more than eight days in divorce proceedings for each of their 72 days of wedded bliss, the way the Ministry figures it. Now Kim can have her baby girl with Kanye West without the annoyance of being married to someone other than her baby daddy. But the court action came a day after Sunday’s big baby shower in Beverly Hills, for which Kim wore white Lanvin.

What would seem to be a rather simple split — there reportedly was a solid prenup — got held up as Humphries sought an annulment, saying the marriage was a fraud concocted for the purposes of Kardashian’s reality show and the wedding special that accompanied it.
Things didn’t go Humphries’ way, however, as he reportedly got no extra cash and dropped the annulment argument before the couple reached a settlement deal April 19, avoiding a trial.
Maybe by that time even he didn’t care about the whole mess — he’d been a no-show at a mandatory divorce settlement hearing the week before, at what was the last stop before trial or settlement.
Following in Lindsay Lohan’s playbook, it seems he had some trouble catching the last flight out of JFK before the court date.
