Katherine Jackson not missing, just playing Uno

Katherine Jackson has been found! Actually, she was never missing.

The 82-year-old Jackson family matriarch (also known as Michael’s mother and primary custodian of his kids Prince, Paris and Blanket) was simply playing cards in Arizona.

“She is safe and with family members,” L.A. Sheriff’s Deputy Don Walker read from a statement Monday morning, L.A. Now reported.

“When I got there, Katherine Jackson and her family were at the dinner table and had just finished a game of Uno,” a Pima County sheriff’s deputy told X17 Online, adding that Jackson was on vacation. “In fact, their dinner plates were still in front of them. She seemed like she was having a good time. She was happy, safe and healthy.”

Katherine’s nephew Trent Jackson, who apparently didn’t know about this vacation (or was pulling a stunt) filed a missing persons report in L.A. on Saturday, Us Weekly reported. He is now being investigated for elder abuse, according to X17.

At the request of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, the Arizona law enforcement official found and interviewed Katherine, whom the deputy determined to be perfectly fine.

Her son, Jermaine Jackson, issued a Twitter statement on Sunday debunking the missing person myths. “Mother is safe and well in Arizona with her daughter and our sister, Rebbie, resting up on doctor’s advice, so it is beyond me how she can be reported ‘missing.’ This incredulous claim was made for reasons best known to the adult/s who filed it but it seems no accident that it comes after we, the sons and daughters, put in place care — taking for our own mother, taking her to Arizona in line with doctor’s advice following a check-up.”

“Furthermore,” he added, “ it dismays me that such an alarmist ‘missing person’ report has caused unnecessary anxiety among Michael’s children who will understandably react to what they misunderstand, hear or are told.”

And finally, he tweet-concluded:

“No one is being ‘blocked’ from speaking with Mother. She is merely an 82-year-old woman following doctor’s orders to rest-up and de-stress, away from phones and computers. Everyone has been well aware of this within the family, but I would like to reiterate my reassurance to the outside world that Mother is fine. In the meantime, thank you for all your thoughts and concerns.”

On Sunday, hours before Jermaine’s statement, 14-year-old Paris expressed concern. She tweeted: “Yes, my grandmother is missing. I haven’t seen her for a week and want her to come home now.”

That must have been one crazy game of Uno.
