Jessica Simpson presents daughter, unveils fitness strategy
After a long, long pregnancy, Jessica Simpson finally delivered she and Eric Johnson’s baby girl Maxwell Drew on May 1. But now you get to meet her.
Mother and baby appear on this week’s cover of People magazine, smiling up from Maxwell’s Rachel Ashwell-designed nursery in the Los Angeles pad Simpson and Johnson share.
“Life has completely changed,” Simpson told the mag. “From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!”
Parenting is a team activity around the house. NFL free agent Johnson is described in a behind-the-scenes video as a “diaper ninja,” while Simpson enjoys the bonding moments in feeding time.
“It’s the worst if I have to pump and give Eric a bottle to give her,” she said. “I miss holding her and having that closeness.”
Simpson delivered viaC-section, and her recovery will give way to a full-body makeover. Simpson’s size was Topic A for the duration of her pregnancy but, true to form, the pop singer and entrepreneur has monetized her bounce-back.
Jessica has entered a reported $4-million deal to join Weight Watchers as spokesmodel.
“As soon as Jessica heals from the C-section, she is extremely determined to get back in the gym and work out,” reports Us Weekly, citing a Simpson source. “She wants to show the world and is excited to do it.”
