Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr marry in Mexico
Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr, whose relationship started with a scandal, reportedly got married Saturday night in Mexico.
“This is the best day ever — I’ve got my girl here, my friends, my family — it’s the best day ever!,” the 38-year-old country singer said in a statement to Us Weekly, which first reported the news.
His Facebook and Twitter accounts linked to the exclusive story, which promises more details are coming in the outlet’s print edition. Us did reveal that Aldean’s daughters with first wife Jessica Ussery (Keeley, 12, and Kendyl, 7) were on hand for the event.
Aldean and 27-year-old Kerr -- she’s a former “American Idol” contestant and NBA cheerleader -- have been linked since they were caught kissing at a Los Angeles bar in September 2012, when he was still married to Ussery.
At the time, he said he’d made a mistake and needed to work through things privately. The “Big Green Tractor” singer filed for divorce in April of the next year.
He and Kerr got engaged last September.
