Rapper Eve engaged to Gumball 3000 founder Maximillion Cooper
Rapper Eve is engaged to designer Maximillion Cooper.
Cooper, also the founder of the Gumball 3000 motor rally, popped the question to the Grammy-winning singer, full name Eve Jihan Jeffers, on Christmas Day while they were in Scotland, E! News reported.
Though the “Eve” star didn’t announce the engagement immediately, she did share a photo Monday in which fans spied a big twinkly detail on her left-hand ring finger.

“#familytime!!!! Me and my mom and my lil brother Farrod just got to the English country side. Feel so #blessed to be with my family and sharing my life here,” the 35-year-old captioned the photo. “I pray that you bring 2014 in with people you #love. And nothing but #good #energy”
Followers quickly caught on to the meaning of the gleaming bauble and started flooding her post with comments of congratulations -- none of which the “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” rapper denied. Instead, she responded with heart-shaped emojis.
Soon after, the “Barbershop” actress took to Twitter to offer up her gratitude.
“Thanku 2 everybody 4 your congratulations on our engagement!” she tweeted. “We wanted to celebrate with our family and friends 1st b4 announcing.”
This will be the first marriage for the rapper and the second for Cooper. The two have been dating since 2011. Cooper has four children from his previous marriage to Gumball 3000 co-founder Julie Brangstrup, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail.
The pair met at a Gumball 3000 rally when Eve entered for Puma. They reportedly split their time between the United States and England and traveled to Edinburgh last week.

Eve, who released her fourth studio album “Lip Lock” in May after a decade-long hiatus, opened up about her relationship with Cooper to E! host Chelsea Handler.
“I’ve never been the type of person to discriminate. But I honestly have to say I never thought I’d be with a white guy ever. I know that sounds horrible,” she laughed. “But it just happened. He’s amazing. I’m the first black girl he’s ever been with. It’s been interesting.”
