Dot-Marie Jones of ‘Glee’ engaged to girlfriend Bridgett Casteen
Dot-Marie Jones, a three-time Emmy nominee for her portrayal of Coach Shannon Beiste on Fox’s “Glee,” is engaged to her girlfriend, Bridgett Casteen.
Jones proposed at Disneyland, near Sleeping Beauty Castle, on Friday during Gay Days Anaheim, an unofficial event at the park that this year took place Friday through Sunday. The Advocate first reported the news.
The couple have been dating for almost three years, the mag said.
“So happy!” the 49-year-old actress tweeted Friday night with an Instagram photo of her with Casteen.
“It’s the happiest day of my life,” Jones said during a Q&A at the park. “I never thought I’d find somebody that is so loving and kind.”
Casteen, 39 with two kids from a previous marriage, was equally jazzed, tweeting, “Thank you @dotmariejones for making me the happiest woman in the world. #engaged.”
