Dolly Parton sustains minor injuries in Nashville car crash
Dolly Parton sustained minor injuries and reportedly went to the hospital after a car crash Monday in Nashville, but the country darling was back online in short order to let fans know she was all right.
And yes, all national treasures escaped unscathed.
“I was in a fender bender this morning here in Nashville, but I am all good...,” Parton tweeted after the wreck. “Just a little tired and sore. Resting at home now!”
The 67-year-old was a passenger in an SUV driven by longtime pal Judy Ogle, 68, when, according to police, another car failed to yield at an intersection and nailed them, the Tennessean reported. The friends were both were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, while the other driver, a 64-year-old woman, was taken to Nashville’s Centennial Medical Center.
Parton and the other two were released with only minor injuries, TMZ said.
The singer-songwriter later announced that she’s headed to Europe next June and July for a series of concerts.
