Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl breaks leg during concert, keeps on rocking
Dave Grohl is a rocker through and through, and he proved it Friday, reportedly finishing a show in Gothenburg, Sweden, despite breaking his leg during the performance.
The Foo Fighters’ front man told the crowd the show was not over, even as he was being attended to by medical personnel, according to pictures and footage posted online.
“I think I really broke my leg,” Grohl said. “Right now, I'm going to go to the hospital, I'm going to fix my leg, but then I'm going to come back.”
And that is pretty much what the former Nirvana drummer did; playing out the concert from a chair with his leg wrapped, according to images from the scene.
A publicist for the band declined to comment, but told USA Today that Grohl got treatment backstage and then returned, albeit hobbled, to keep rocking.
Later in the day, the band confirmed the news by tweeting a picture of an X-ray showing Grohl's busted bone.
