Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman separate after decades together
Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman have separated after more than 30 years of marriage, DeVito’s rep confirmed to the Ministry of Gossip on Monday.
The couple met and moved in together more than 40 years ago, while he was working on Broadway. They married in January 1982, during the run of the sitcom “Taxi,” and the first of their three children was born a little more than a year later.
Perlman moved on from “Taxi” to become a fixture on “Cheers,” which marked its 30th anniversary last month. DeVito, an Oscar nominee as a producer for “Erin Brockovich,” can be seen on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
