Ciara, Future reportedly back together -- that is, if they ever split
Are they or aren’t they splitting? Looks like they aren’t: Ciara and Future are back on, according to a report out Wednesday.
Assuming they even broke up in the first place ...
The “Goodies” singer, who reportedly called off her engagement to the “Honest” rapper last month, is now said to have given him a second chance for the sake of their 4-month-old son, TMZ reported.
Ciara, 28, and Future, 30, are said to be living together again and trying to make things work so that he can be around to take care of their son, Future Zahir Wilburn, insiders close to the rapper told the site.
Another source told E! News that there was a chance of reconciliation.
“They are working things out and are supposed to be getting back together,” the source said. “She really cares about Future and still loves him. She is going to try for her family.”
The split allegedly went down just three months after the boy’s birth, after Ciara reportedly learned that her fiance had cheated on her while he was on tour, TMZ said last month.
The duo, whose real names are Ciara Princess Harris and Nayvadius D. Wilburn, got engaged last October when he gave the R&B singer a 15-carat ring.
Ciara’s rep declined to comment to the Los Angeles Times on the breakup rumors and again declined to comment on the reports suggesting that the couple had reunited.
Music producer Future hasn’t addressed the reports directly, aside from an Aug. 21 post on Instagram saying, “I Dnt respond to rumors I respond to money #MONSTER.”
Ciara hasn’t publicly addressed her personal life either. However, she lambasted Us Weekly on Twitter a couple of weeks back, saying the magazine had taken an unrelated interview and linked it to the rumors.
The Degree spokeswoman accused the magazine of “manipulating” her words from an interview with its beauty editor in an article that was published hours after split rumors surfaced.
The mag put her comments on motherhood into the breakup context by titling the post “Ciara Talks About Motherhood and Life After Future Split: I’m Focused, ‘Very Happy.’”
“@usweekly I did not do this interview with you! This is a lie, and tasteless! Must you be that thirsty to create a story?! Unbelievable!” she tweeted, adding, “Be CLEAR @usweekly. I interviewed with your Beauty Editor about Degree & Mtv HOS. U manipulated my words & took the interview for sensation. ... As I Said, Thirsty!!”
