Charlie Sheen calls off engagement to former porn star Brett Rossi

Charlie Sheen and the woman formerly known as Brett Rossi -- a.k.a. Scottine Sheen, a.k.a. Scottine Ross -- have called off their engagement.

“Scotty and I had a great year together as we traveled the world and crossed a lot of things off our bucket list,” the “Anger Management” actor said Thursday in a statement to the Los Angeles Times. “She’s a terrific gal -- but we’ve mutually decided to go our separate ways and not spend the rest of our lives together.

“I’ve decided that my children deserve my focus more than a relationship does right now. I still have a tremendous fondness for Scotty and I wish her all the best.”

The actor, 49, and the former porn actress, 25, had gone public as a couple in 2013, got engaged on Valentine’s Day in Hawaii and according to Radar Online, which first reported the split, were planning to marry on Nov. 22.

Her Twitter account under the name Scottine Sheen, which on Thursday evening had featured a photo of the couple kissing and bio info reading “Future Mrs. Sheen. Thats all you need to know!,” was gone on Friday.

She took on the name Scottine Sheen in May, attaching her real first name to her then-future-husband’s last name as she attempted to shed her past.

“I’m trying to leave my porn past behind me and start living as me,” she told Us Weekly at the time. “[Charlie] has been complaining about it and I said, ‘They won’t EVER stop calling me Brett Rossi unless I start getting out and doing things as me.”

The Brett Rossi moniker was only 4 years old, she told the mag.

While it was unclear Friday what name she would be using moving forward, she noted in May that she didn’t “want to go back to Rossi since I’m happily divorced and it’s pointless to go back to my maiden name since my last name will be changing again soon anyway.”

It was Charlie Sheen’s fifth engagement, and would have been his fourth marriage. He has two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards, twin sons with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, and a 29-year-old daughter with high school girlfriend Paula Speert (nee Profit).

Scottine was married for about a year to Jonathan Ross, Radar said; their divorce was finalized in April, and they had no children together.
