Caila Quinn is apartment-hunting in New York, fueled by ‘Bachelorette’ buzz
Caila Quinn is apartment hunting in New York City!
Bachelor Nation, while you were buzzing about JoJo Fletcher, the new “Bachelorette,” Caila hit the road for New York, documenting her journey on social media Wednesday and busting out with her broker on Thursday.
“Hey everyone, apartment-hunting with the gorgeous Victoria, my broker,” the 24-year-old said in a Snapchat titled “Let the Hunt Begin.”
“So you’ll have to tell me what you think. Bye!”
(Wait, does that mean we get to vicariously tour some NYC real estate? Looks like it does, and the sunlit street she was walking down first looked pretty dang cozy.)
After starting her Wednesday lip-syncing in the mirror to Zara Larsson, the Ohio native zipped up her bags and hit the road, according to her Snapchat story on Wednesday.
“We are off, people, off to the races, on my way to New York, gonna get some pizza,” she said from the passenger seat, pretty much butchering an NYC accent and then immediately calling herself out for doing just that.
Seems Quinn isn’t freaking out as much as the rest of us apparently are about diversity on the show.
After former ABC Entertainment Chief Paul Lee said in January that he would “be very surprised” if the next “Bachelorette” cast wasn’t more racially diverse, and blogger Reality Steve tweeted photos last week seemingly showing Quinn taping a segment for the show, the mixed-race fan fave Filipina seemed like a lock for the job — until it was unexpectedly announced Monday on “After the Final Rose” that “Bachelor” runner-up Fletcher would be the show’s pick.
¡Escandalo! (Not to mention ¿WTH?)
For her part, Quinn seemed more concerned Friday about specificity in road food than diversity in reality-TV casting.
“Roadtrippin’ and will be thoroughly disappointed if I don’t find a chick fil a sometime soon...,” the software-sales rep said on Twitter — and her wish was soon granted.
“The whole road trip is complete, got the waffle fries!” she said on Snapchat, showing herself downing said chicken-chain treats with a big smile on her face. “I don’t know what it is about them. I usually eat pretty healthy, but these things have a spell on me.”
You go, girl. All the way to New York. Can’t wait to see what you’re up to out there ...
