Amanda Bynes out of rehab, is considering college
Amanda Bynes is out of rehab, almost six months after she was involuntarily hospitalized.
“Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day,” the family’s lawyer, Tamar Arminak, said Thursday in a statement to People. She’ll continue with outpatient care, the statement said.
Bynes, who earlier this year went from being a celebrity Twitter sideshow to the subject of serious medical concern, was hospitalized after her pants caught fire as she set a fire in a driveway in Thousand Oaks and then fled with her small dog.
Her mother later was granted a conservatorship over her daughter, and Bynes was moved from Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center to a rehab facility outside Los Angeles for continuing treatment.
She was photographed Thursday, casually dressed with dark hair pulled back, leaving her mother’s house in L.A., E! reported.
Bynes, who has previously expressed a desire to start a fashion line, is looking at colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design, according to Arminak’s statement.
In November, she was ruled competent to face DUI charges stemming from an arrest in April in West Hollywood. That ruling had no effect on her conservatorship, TMZ said.
