The Art Directors Guild announced the nominations for its 18th annual awards on Thursday morning.

While the film side divides the nominations into period film, fantasy film and contemporary film, the TV side sticks to the tried-and-true divisions of hourlong series, half-hour series and TV movie or miniseries, so the lavish fantasy “Game of Thrones” competes alongside the grungy modern look of “Breaking Bad.”

Other nominees in the hourlong category include “Boardwalk Empire,” “Downton Abbey” and “Mad Men.”
