The high-octane action series reboot “The Transporter Refueled” pulled in a modest $365,000 at the box office from Thursday night preview showings, according to studio estimates.

The fourth movie in the “Transporter” series is expected to do little to rev up Labor Day weekend ticket sales, projected to generate roughly $9 million over four days. The holiday is typically a slow one for Hollywood as the summer film season winds down.

Neither “The Transporter” nor Robert Redford’s new hiking comedy “A Walk in the Woods” is likely to have enough energy to top “Straight Outta Compton.” The N.W.A. biopic came out four weeks ago and is looking to take the top spot again in the U.S. and Canada during this frame.

“The Transporter Refueled” stars Ed Skrein (“Game of Thrones”) as a highly skilled professional driver, whereas the first three featured Jason Statham. The new $22-million release is the latest from France-based EuropaCorp, founded by French filmmaker Luc Besson.

The older-skewing “A Walk in the Woods,” based on the travel memoir by Bill Bryson, is expected to rack up about $8 million through the Monday holiday. The Broad Green Pictures offering stepped out to $1.17 million on Wednesday.
