Joe and Tina Simpson sell Encino home for $3.5 million
Joe and Tina Simpson, parents of singer-actress daughters Ashlee and Jessica, have sold their home in Encino for $3.5 million.
The buyers are television writer-producer Cynthia Harrison and her husband, real estate investment firm head Lewis Wallach.
The English Storybook-style house, in a gated community, features a copper turret entry, beamed ceilings, a theater, an office, six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and nearly 6,900 square feet of living space.
The 1.5 acres of grounds include fountains, lawns, a lagoon-style pool, a sports court and a putting green.
Harrison co-created and co-executive produced the History Channel series “Dogfights.” Among other History Channel shows she has written and produced are “The Great Ships,” “The Royal Navy” and “Rogue Waves.”
The Simpsons bought the property in 2001 for $2.1 million, public records show. They filed for divorce last fall.
Jory Burton of Sotheby’s Beverly Hills office was the listing agent. Susan Larison of Peninsula Sotheby’s represented the buyers.
