Limited number of Google Glass will be available to buy on Tuesday

If you’ve been unsuccessful getting your hands on a pair of Google Glass, now’s your chance.

Beginning Tuesday at 6 a.m. Pacific time, U.S. adults can purchase the Explorer version of Google’s head-mounted, Internet-connected computer for $1,500 plus tax on the company’s website.

“Our Explorers are moms, bakers, surgeons, rockers, and each new Explorer has brought a new perspective that is making Glass better. But every day we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too,” the company said in a Google+ post on Thursday. “So in typical Explorer Program fashion, we’re trying something new.”

The Mountain View, Calif., tech firm cautioned that “the number of spots available is limited, so mark your calendars if you want to get in.”

Don’t live in the U.S.? You’re out of luck for now.

“To everyone outside the U.S. ... we know,” Google wrote. “Sorry :( We’re just not ready yet to bring Glass to other countries.”

Google has been rolling out the device slowly and said it has been trying different ways to expand its Explorer program over the last several months.

So far, early adopters have snagged a pair by signing up at the Google I/O conference, winning a contest, being referred by a friend or joining through their school.
