Contenders to iPhone 5: Galaxy S 4, Blackberry Z10 and HTC One
Apple is pumping up its marketing efforts for the iPhone 5 in the wake of Samsung’s unveiling of the Galaxy S 4 last week. But Samsung’s new phone isn’t the only new mobile device coming out in the next few months that could pose a threat to the iPhone 5.
We take a look at how the iPhone 5 specifications compare with three upcoming devices that could take a bite out of Apple’s market share.
BlackBerry Z10
Screen: 4.2-inch, 1,280x768 pixel resolution, 356 pixel density
Cameras: 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD videorecording, 2-megapixel front camera with 720p HD video recording
Size: 0.35 of an inch thick, 5.12 inches tall, 2.58 inches wide
Weight: 0.30 of a pound
Operating System: BlackBerry 10
Processor: 1.5 GHz dual core
Notable Features: BlackBerry Keyboard learns how users write, tries to guess the word they’ll write next; BlackBerry Balance lets users create two accounts so they can separate their personal and work lives

Availability: March 22 from AT&T; and March 28 from Verizon. T-Mobile will also sell it but hasn’t said when.

HTC One
Screen: 4.7-inch, 1,920x1,080, 468 pixel density
Cameras: Rear camera uses proprietary HTC UltaPixel camera technology, which is believed to be approximately 4 megapixels. Front camera has 2.1-megapixel sensor. Both cameras record 1080p HD video.
