There’s a short supply of the iPhone 5s, and they’re selling out fast. But we got our hands on one, and we’ll be unboxing it.
Apple began selling the new high-end smartphone Friday morning all around the world alongside the lower-cost iPhone 5c. The iPhone 5s comes in space gray (black), gold and silver color options.
The iPhone 5s is the successor to last year’s iPhone 5. Though the software in the two devices is the same, the iPhone 5s is equipped with a faster processor, improved camera and a fingerprint scanner that can be used to unlock the device and verify purchases.

We were able to get ahold of a 32-gigabyte space gray iPhone 5s, which retails for $299 with a two-year contract. We’ll unbox the device and start testing it out at 11 a.m.
Around the globe, lines are forming for the latest Apple product, and in Pasadena, a fight actually broke out at an Apple store.
There haven’t been reports of the iPhone 5c selling out, but there is a short supply of the gold iPhone 5s. It has been selling out quickly, and online its shipping time has already been pushed back until October.
