Tyler Perry puts supersized estate in Atlanta up for grabs at $25 million
Comic actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry has listed his mega riverfront estate in the wealthy Paces neighborhood of Atlanta for sale at $25 million.
This is a mansion with a capital M.
Set on 17 acres of woodland and park-like grounds that feature an enormous waterfall swimming pool and a tennis court, the 34,668-square-foot French Provincial-style residence was completed in 2007 and has a resort vibe.
Amenities include a gym, a spa, an 18-seat theater and an underground ballroom with a catering kitchen. A hobby house, a guard house and a caretaker suite are also on site for a total of seven bedrooms and 11.5 bathrooms.
There are formal gardens with fountains, lawn and statuary and two gated entrances with security.
Perry, 45, is known for his recurring role as Madea, an elderly woman he has portrayed in such films as “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” (2002), “Madea’s Witness Protection” (2012) and “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Neighbors From Hell” (2014). He created the television series “House of Payne” (2007-12) and the current series “If Loving You Is Wrong,” which he also directs. Perry also has extensive writing and producing credits.
Joshua Reeves and Chase Mizell of Atlanta Fine Homes, Sotheby’s International Realty, are the listing agents.
