‘School of Rock’s’ Tony Cavalero lists his hip house in Laurel Canyon for sale
Actor-comedian Tony Cavalero and his wife, actress Annie Cavalero, are ready to make a change in Hollywood Hills West. They’ve put their updated home in the Laurel Canyon area up for sale at $1.295 million.
The Midcentury house, built in 1969, was recently renovated and blends old and new in an open floor plan with a two-story glass entry. Details of note include wood-beam ceilings, hardwood floors and retro steel fireplace. Bright tile and colorful accents keep the eye moving throughout the interiors.
A living room, a dining area, a den/office nook, three bedrooms and two bathrooms lie within about 1,900 square feet of space. An updated chef’s kitchen features a built-in breakfast bar, booth seating and new marble countertops.
Side and back patios, a hot tub, lawns and mature landscaping occupy the 9,500-square-foot lot. Steps lead up the grounds to a treetop deck with an outdoor dining area and canyon views.
The house previously changed hands six years ago for $860,000, records show.
Kevin Keyser and Jodi Rubin of Sheltr Group/Sotheby’s International Realty hold the listing.
Tony Cavalero is known for his role as Dewey Finn on the Nickelodeon series “School of Rock,” which was renewed for a second season in April. His other credits include the series “The Single Life” and “Hart of Dixie.”
Annie Cavalero has appeared in such shows as “2 Broke Girls” and “The Single Life.”
Both have performed with the Los Angeles-based sketch comedy group the Groundlings.
