Former Trojan Taylor Mays is ready to part with his Runyon Canyon home
Professional football player and former USC standout Taylor Mays has put his home in Hollywood Hills West on the market for about $2 million.
The chic contemporary-style home, built against a hillside in the Runyon Canyon area, has a two-story entry, wood and ceramic tile floors and nearly 2,700 square feet of open-plan space. A hot tub and rooftop patio take in city and canyon views.
A living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room and center-island kitchen are among the common areas. Glass doors off the living and dining areas open to separate balconies overlooking the street.
The master suite, with an oversized shower and walk-in closet, has another private balcony. In all, there are three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
Mays bought the house two years ago for $1.85 million, records show.
Jordan Cohen of RE/MAX Olson & Associates holds the listing.
The 28-year-old Mays was a three-time All-American and two-time first-team All-Pac-10 during his career with the Trojans. The defensive back has appeared in 80 games across six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals and Oakland Raiders.
He is currently a free agent.
