USC Trojans’ Steve Sarkisian sells Rolling Hills home for $8.55 million
Steve Sarkisian will be fighting on somewhere other than his Rolling Hills address.
The USC football coach last week sold his home in the South Bay for $8.55 million after about a year and a half of ownership. He had asked $9.5 million for the hilltop property.
Set on more than five acres, the renovated ranch-style home is surrounded by a 500-tree orchard. Outdoor amenities include a 2,200-gallon koi pond, a putting green, a tennis court and a swimming pool and spa.
Marked by a porte-cochere, the brick-lined house features such details as a formal entry, broad archways and wood-beamed ceilings. There are 18 televisions throughout the 8,250 square feet of living space.
Public areas include formal living and dining rooms, an open-area kitchen with large island, a catering kitchen and a media room. A lower level holds a wine cellar with a tasting room and temperature-controlled storage.
Five bedrooms and eight bathrooms include a master suite complete with an office/exercise room and his-and-hers closets. There are six fireplaces in all.
Sarkisian, who in April announced that he and wife Stephanie are in the process of getting a divorce, bought the house last year for $8.5 million.
Sarkisian, 41, led the Trojans to a 9-4 record last year, his first season as head coach. He previously was the head football coach of the Washington Huskies for five seasons and an assistant to Pete Carroll during his tenure at USC.
Chris Adlam of Vista Sotheby’s International Realty was the listing agent. Jeanevra Calhoun of Beach City Brokers represented the buyer in the sale.
