Former California head football coach Sonny Dykes has put his home in Piedmont on the market for $4.25 million.

Dykes, who was let go from his position in January, bought the house four years ago for $3.45 million, public records show.

Built in 1924, the traditional-style house sits on a 7,020-square-foot lot with mature landscaping and an outdoor fireplace.

Inside, features include a two-story entry, a den with a wet bar, a wine cellar and an updated kitchen with a wide center island. There are five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms including a master suite with his and hers baths and a dressing room.

French doors off the kitchen area open to deck space for entertaining. Streams of market lights crisscross over the backyard.

Anthony Riggins of Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing agent.

Dykes, 47, led the Golden Bears to a combined 19-30 record during his four seasons as head coach, making one bowl game. He was previously the head coach at Louisiana Tech and, before that, coordinator at Texas Tech and Arizona.

Earlier this year, he joined the TCU football program as an offensive analyst.
