‘Roswell’s’ Shiri Appleby puts her West Hollywood cottage up for sale
Actress Shiri Appleby is best known for her role as Liz Parker on the sci-fi series “Roswell,” but her home in Central L.A. is definitely of this world. The remodeled English-style cottage in West Hollywood owned by Appleby and her husband, restaurateur Jon Shook, is for sale for $1.795 million.
Tucked behind tall privacy hedges, the roughly 1,600-square-foot home has traditional curb appeal with broad shutters, a brick-lined driveway and a rustic front door. Vaulted ceilings, elaborate pendant lighting and white-painted floors give the interiors a contemporary feel.
A living room with a fireplace opens to a rustic booth-style eating area and a chef’s kitchen complete with custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances.
The master suite, with built-ins and a walls of windows, has a bathroom with concrete floors and glass-enclosed shower, and another bedroom has a lofted area. Across the grounds is a vine-wrapped guest house with one en suite for a total of three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
A Saltillo-tile patio wraps a swimming pool to complete the gated setting.
The house last sold more than a decade ago for $679,000, public records show.
Sam Plouchart of The Agency holds the listing.
Appleby, 37, stars in the Lifetime comedy-drama “UnREAL.” Her other television credits include “ER,” “Girls” and “Life Unexpected.”
Shook is the co-owner of such eateries as Animal, Son of a Gun and Jon & Vinny’s. He also cowrote the cookbook “Two Dudes, One Pan.”
