‘Grey’s Anatomy’ alum Scott Elrod finds new scenery in Laurel Canyon
Actor Scott Elrod of “The Young and the Restless” and “Grey’s Anatomy” fame has bought a home in Hollywood Hills West for about $3.44 million.
Built in 1931 and recently renovated, the traditional-style home blends traditional features with a mix of contemporary updates. Wood-beam cathedral ceilings, gray hues and modern fixtures are among the interior details. A wet bar features an eye-catching backsplash of mirrored subway tile.
A great room with walls of built-ins, a dining area, a center-island kitchen, an office and a laundry room are within the 4,100 square feet of living space. Six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms include an attached guest suite with a kitchenette.
Outdoors, a wooden walkway winds through the grounds to a playground and a swimming pool. An al fresco dining area, lawns and mature landscaping fill out the roughly one-third-acre setting.
Elrod, 41, has credits that include the television series “Men in Trees” and “Castle” as well as the 2013 film “Lone Survivor.” More recently he appeared on the fifth season of the NBC drama “Chicago Fire.”
The property had been listed for sale at $3.549 million, records show. Earlier this year, it changed hands for $2 million.
Paul Blair and Ben Belack of the Agency were the listing agents. Sacha Radford, also with the Agency, represented Elrod.
