Psy of ‘Gangnam Style’ fame checks out of Westwood condo
South Korean pop star Psy, whose song “Gangnam Style” became a viral sensation four years ago, and his wife, Hye-yeon Yoo, have sold their condo in Westwood for $1.995 million.
Found within the Blair House, a full-service high-rise built in 1989, the fourth-floor unit features hardwood and marble floors, high ceilings and an upgraded kitchen with a custom backsplash. Walls of windows bring in natural light and city views.
Living and dining rooms, a den, three bedrooms and two bathrooms lie within nearly 2,800 square feet of living space. The master suite has his and hers vanities and a large walk-in closet. A pair of private balconies extend the living space outside.
The unit came to market in March for $2.499 million and was listed at about $2 million prior to the sale. In October, the median sale price for Westwood condominiums was $845,000 based on 21 sales, according to CoreLogic.
Scott Hillenbrand of John Aaroe Group was the listing agent. Brian Griffin of Mercer Vine represented the buyer.
Psy, 38, has released seven studio albums, most recently “Chiljib PSY-Da” last year. His video for “Gangnam Style” has received more than 2.71 billion hits on YouTube, earning the artist several Guinness world records.
He bought the condo four years ago for $1.249 million, records show.
