‘E.T’ writer Melissa Mathison lists Malibu retreat
Screenwriter Melissa Mathison has listed her Malibu home for sale at $9.995 million.
The gated villa sits on more than an acre of park-like grounds with coastline and ocean views. The Zen-inspired house features six bedrooms, five bathrooms and 3,940 square feet of living space. There are 84 feet of ocean bluff frontage and deeded beach access.
Mathison, 63, wrote “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” (1982) and “Kundun” (1997). She is a former wife of actor Harrison Ford.
The property previously sold in 2003 for $5.8 million, public records show.
