Academy Award-winning actor Matt Damon has sold his waterfront home in Miami Beach, Fla.

The 12,705-square-foot home on North Bay Road was listed at $18.999 million, down from the original ask of $20 million. The buyer, AmeriSave Mortgage Chief Executive Patrick Markert, paid $15.375 million for the home, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

The Mediterranean-style compound, built in 1935 and since updated, includes a main residence, a guesthouse, a pool and spa, a pool house with a summer kitchen and a rooftop terrace, 170 feet of water frontage and a dock on an acre overlooking Biscayne Bay.

The two-story main house, with dark hardwood flooring, detailed molding and wainscoting, features a gourmet kitchen, a theater room, an office, a wine cellar, seven bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms.

An oversized living room centers on ocean views. The master bedroom features a spa-like bathroom with a free-standing soaking tub and dual vanities.

The guesthouse adds an additional two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Damon, 44, is known for his roles in “The Bourne” film series, “The Departed” (2006) and “Good Will Hunting” (1997), the latter of which he won an Oscar for best screenplay. He is set to star in the upcoming science-fiction blockbuster “The Martian,” directed by Ridley Scott.

The actor acquired the two-parcel property in separate transactions in 2005. Records show he paid $10.3 million for the main property in April that year and added the adjoining parcel that December for $4.2 million.
