Sitcom producer Marcy Carsey pays top dollar for cozy Santa Monica cottage
Marcy Carsey, whose production credits include the sitcoms “3rd Rock from the Sun” and “Roseanne,” has paid above asking price for a charming cottage in Santa Monica.
Records show a corporate entity tied to the producer purchased the three-bedroom home for $1.925 million. It had been listed since January at $1.749 million.
Set in Sunset Park, the picturesque home sports an olive-green exterior. Inside, the 1,599 square feet of living space is replete with original hardwood floors and large picture windows. Arched doorways lead from room to room.
An eat-in kitchen opens up to a covered deck next to a garden-filled backyard. A wood-accented attic adds space to spread out.
Noelle Hettlinger of Compass and Lois Bostwick of Coldwell Banker Residential were the listing agents. Mimi McCormick of Pacific Union International represented Carsey.
Carsey, 73, formed the Carsey-Werner Co. alongside Tom Werner in 1981. The company went on to produce shows such as “Grace Under Fire,” “That ’70s Show” and “Grounded for Life.”
