Camille and Kelsey Grammer’s onetime home sells in Malibu’s Serra Retreat
A Malibu estate that Camille and Kelsey Grammer bought shortly after they were married has sold for $12.94 million.
Set on 4.75 acres in the gated Serra Retreat community, the estate centers on a main house with a kitchen designed by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. A library, a home theater, four bedrooms and six bathrooms lie within the 6,645 square feet of living space.
A detached guesthouse, a lily pond with an 18th century stone temple, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a nine-stall barn and a riding ring are also on the grounds.
The estate has been on and off the market several times, listing in 2004 for nearly $20 million and in 2012 at close to $17 million. The Grammers bought the property in 1998 for $4.5 million and divorced four years ago.
Grammer, 60, won Emmys for his starring role in the “Cheers” spinoff “Frasier” (1993-2004) and for voicing Sideshow Bob on “The Simpsons.”
He’ll appear in the upcoming film “Baby, Baby, Baby” and star in the animated movie “Bunyan and Babe.”
Christopher Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker and Christopher Dyson of the Agency were the listing agents. Cormac O’Herlihy and Wailani O’Herlihy of Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer.
