The luxurious spread spans three quarters of an acre, including 137 feet of frontage on Carbon Beach. Entered via a courtyard, the 1930s home opens to living spaces full of dark hardwood floors and exposed brickwork.
Highlights include a two-story great room set under vaulted ceilings, a dining room with a fireplace and a lofted office. Walls of glass in the master suite offer ocean views. In total, there are five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The backyard holds a pool and spa set into a brick patio. Adjacent, there’s a tennis court, a row of cabanas and a detached guesthouse with a pair of bedrooms and bathrooms.
Records show Silver bought the home more than a decade ago from the late film producer Robert Chartoff.
Judy Feder of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, held the listing.
The 65-year-old Silver, who’s been in the industry since the 1970s, has produced a plethora of films, including the “Predator” and “Matrix” franchises. More recently, he signed on to produce the upcoming action movie “SuperFly” alongside rapper Future.
