Live like a Gabor sister in Palm Springs
The onetime Magda Gabor estate is on the market in Palm Springs’ Little Tuscany neighborhood for $3.425 million.
Containing many of the actress and socialite’s original furnishings, the Hungarian-influenced knoll-top estate encompasses six acres with commanding mountain, city and canyon views.
Entered through a pillared overhang and double doors, the lavish 1960s house has a palace vibe. Randomly shaped black quartz stone floors run throughout. Imported chandeliers, coat of arms embellishments, elaborate wrought-iron railings and mirrored walls are among features original to Gabor’s ownership. A Viking statue and portrait of Gabor still grace the interiors.
Sliding glass doors running the length of the house take in panoramic vistas.
There are three bedrooms and six bathrooms within the 3,441 square feet of living space. Gabor added some additional square footage with a dressing room and closet.
The swimming pool and terrace area is designed for entertaining.
The acreage is divided into two parcels. The second lot is buildable.
Gabor, who died in 1997 at 81, was the elder sister of actresses Zsa Zsa and Eva Gabor. The property last changed hands in 1998 for $440,000, public records show.
Joan Ross of Re/Max Consultants is the listing agent.
