Beverly Hills penthouse once owned by Ellen DeGeneres is ready for a new host
A Beverly Hills penthouse once owned by talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres and her spouse, actress Portia de Rossi, is for sale at $1.295 million.
Found within a full-service building, the 1,683-square-foot corner unit was renovated a year ago and features detailed molding and wainscoting, custom windows and an eat-in kitchen.
The two-bedroom, two-bathroom floor plan includes a spacious living and dining room area with a fireplace. Sliding-glass doors open from the living room to a private patio. There are dual sinks and a soaking tub in the master suite.
DeGeneres and De Rossi bought the property in 2010 for $835,000 and sold it three years later for $843,900, The Times previously reported. A year ago, the unit changed hands for $1.235 million.
Nicole Fruin of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties holds the current listing.
DeGeneres, 59, has won multiple Emmys for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” now in its fourteenth year. Last year, she co-created and produced the show “Little Big Shots” with Steve Harvey.
De Rossi, 44, has appeared on television shows including the legal drama “Ally McBeal” and the sitcom “Arrested Development.” She played chairwoman Elizabeth North on the ABC show “Scandal.”
