Dennis Gilbert sells his Calabasas home base for $4.5 million
Dennis Gilbert, the former Major League Baseball agent, has sold his loaded home base in Calabasas for $4.5 million.
Set at the end of a long gated driveway on more than 3 acres, the Mediterranean-style mansion features a two-story entrance flanked by pairs of columns.
The 11,189 square feet of living space includes a family/billiard room, a screening room, a bar, a gym, seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
The resort-like swimming pool has a rock waterfall. Gardens, a putting green, a lighted tennis court, koi ponds and rolling lawns complete the grounds.
Striking contemporary in Beverly Crest
Gilbert, whose clients included Barry Bonds, Mike Piazza, Jose Canseco and others, has an insurance agency in Beverly Hills.
He bought the property in 1990 for $1.045 million, public records show, and listed it about a year ago for $6.395 million.
Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency was the listing agent. Alin Glogvicean of Redfin represented the buyer.
