Actress Denise Richards lists Hidden Hills remodel with dog hotel
Actress and model Denise Richards has put her Hidden Hills home on the market at $7.749 million.
The onetime Bond girl and animal activist completely gutted, remodeled and expanded the Traditional-style house during her ownership, adding a feature close to her heart: a dog hotel for rescued pups.
Beyond the two-story entry, the human living space centers on a lounge-like living room with an oversized onyx fireplace, cathedral ceilings, a bar and built-in seating. Two temperature-controlled wine-storage walls flank the fireplace in the wine-tasting room.
The expanded kitchen contains a pizza oven, an island with seating and a breakfast nook. A dining room that can seat 10, a media room, two offices, six bedrooms and eight bathrooms are also within the 8,300 square feet of living space.
The resort-worthy swimming pool is actually two pools with a grotto, waterfall and beach entry. There’s also an 800-square-foot cabana, an outdoor kitchen and expansive lawns on the more than an acre of grounds.
Richards has been on a number of series including “Twisted” (2013-14), “Blue Mountain State” (2010-11) and “Sex, Love & Secrets” (2008). She’ll star this year in the series “Vanity” as well as in the family film “Christmas Switch.”
The 44-year-old has worked on a variety of animal welfare projects and regularly on “Access Hollywood” in a segment on adoptable shelter dogs. She is an ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen.
She bought the property eight years ago for $4.395 million.
Joshua Altman and Matt Altman, the Altman Brothers, of Douglas Elliman and Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olson & Associates are the listing agents.
