Clippers’ Austin Rivers drops $6.1 million on a new Pacific Palisades home
Los Angeles Clippers guard Austin Rivers, who inked a new three-year, $35.7 million-deal with the team this summer, has bought a home in Pacific Palisades for $6.1 million.
The shingled Traditional-style house was built this year by Huntington Estate Homes and offers some 7,400 square feet of living space with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
Designed for indoor-outdoor entertaining, the multi-level home features pocketing glass walls, a rooftop deck and balconies centered on city to ocean views. A lower-level lounge is outfitted with an office, a purple-clad home theater and a great room with a glass-enclosed wine wall.
The top-floor master suite has a private terrace and a two-sided fireplace shared by the bedroom and bathroom.
Outdoors, the fenced and hedged setting centers on a rectangular swimming pool with a spa. A built-in barbecue, an outdoor living room, lawns and landscaping complete the setting.
The house came to market in August for $6.449 million, records show.
Anthony Marguleas of Amalfi Estates was the listing agent. Mary Swanson of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage repped the buyer.
The 24-year-old Rivers is the son of Clippers coach Doc Rivers. He averaged a career-high 8.9 points per game last season, his first full year with Los Angeles.
