Former Giant Aubrey Huff waits for the perfect pitch for San Diego home
Former MLB slugger Aubrey Huff has won two World Series championships and a Silver Slugger Award, but he’s still in search of an elusive home sale.
The 41-year-old has relisted his home for $4.345 million after a round of extensive upgrades. It was previously on the market last year for $4.4 million, records show.
Formal living spaces accented with stone and wood fill the Mediterranean-style mansion, which sits on nearly an acre. Highlights include a chef’s kitchen with marble countertops, a wood-paneled office and a master wing with a spa tub and wet bar.
In total, the single-story estate packs five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms into 8,114 square feet of interiors. The grounds hold a lagoon-style pool, sports court and fire pit.
Tracy Weaver of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage holds the listing.
Huff made stops with the Rays, Astros, Orioles and Tigers before finishing his career with the Giants, winning a pair of World Series titles with the team in 2010 and 2012.
He bought the home for $3.7 million in 2013, records show.
