Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof sell their Brentwood home for $8.16 million
Actors Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof, who decamped to the San Fernando Valley last year, have sold their estate in Brentwood for about $8.16 million.
Tucked behind gates and tall privacy hedges, the property includes a Traditional-style main house, a guest house, a swimming pool and spa, stretches of lawn, gardens and mature trees on more than half an acre of grounds.
The main house, built in the 1930s and recently remodeled, opens to a formal entry. The white-walled living space is bathed in natural light and includes an updated kitchen with a marble-topped island, an adjoining breakfast area, a formal dining room, four bedrooms and 4.75 bathrooms. There are fireplaces in the living room, office/den and master bedroom, and the family/media room has French doors that open to the backyard.
The guest house has three additional bedrooms and one bathroom. There’s also a two-car garage and enough parking for eight vehicles.
The property came up for sale in October for $8.795 million, records show. It previously changed hands in late 2015 for $7.89 million.
David Offer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties was the listing agent. Anthony Marguleas of Amalfi Estates represented the buyer. The exact sale price was $8,156,250, according to the public record.
Hannigan, 42, was a regular on “How I Met Your Mother” (2005-14). She stars in the 2016 film “Do You Take This Man.”
Denisof, 50, appeared on the television series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” with Hannigan as well as the spinoff “Angel.” His other credits include the series “Grimm” and “Finding Carter.”
