Singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan has listed her retreat in Whistler, Canada, for sale at about $10.1 million or 13.5 million in Canadian dollars.

The mezzo-soprano and pianist was involved in the building, design and finish selections for the custom house, which sits on 4.3 acres in the Stonebridge area of the British Columbia resort town.

A boulder-lined stone driveway leads to the stone- and wood-clad lodge-like residence with a gracefully arching roof. Evergreen landscaping blends into the natural setting.

An open-plan living and dining area features a massive stone fireplace, vaulted wood ceilings and walls of glass. The great room even has plenty of space for a grand piano.

Built two years ago, the gated home has 8,300 square feet of living space including a home theater, a wine room and a gym. The eat-in kitchen features an island, ceiling beams and a long window along one side of the room. There’s also a detached guesthouse.

McLachlan, 47, has made a name for herself as a pop, rock and ballad singer. She won two Grammy Awards in 1997 for her album “Surfacing” and picked up a third two years later for her performance of “I Will Remember You.”

Her most recent album, “Shine On,” was released last year. McLachlan plays several string instruments, including guitar and harp, as well as keyboards.

The property is being marketed by Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olson & Associates.

Guitarist and singer Benji Madden of the pop-punk band Good Charlotte has put his bachelor pad in Hollywood Hills West up for sale at $1.495 million.

Madden, who this year married actress Cameron Diaz, bought the secluded bungalow almost three years ago for $1.124 million.

A gated driveway crosses over a stream to reach the forested home, which was built in 1951 and has been renovated. The contemporary, white-walled interior features a stone fireplace, expansive windows and an open floor plan in 2,183 square feet.

An updated kitchen with a breakfast bar, three bedrooms and three bathrooms are among the living spaces. A brick terrace, decks and patios surround the home, which sits on more than half an acre.

Madden, 36, is part of the pop-punk band and the rock duo the Madden Brothers with his twin brother, Joel Madden. They are both coaches on the TV singing-competition show “The Voice.”

Among Good Charlotte hits are “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” “Girls & Boys” and “The River.”

Vintage pub is a standout

Comedian Adam Carolla and his wife, Lynette Paradise, have listed a Spanish Revival home for sale in Hollywood Hills at $5,299,995.

Called Vista del Lago, the estate features a character-filled vintage pub with its own entrance. Porthole windows behind the bar look out to the swimming pool.

The courtyard-style villa retains its 1928 style and character in close to 5,800 square feet of living space. A two-story entry with a detailed ceiling, a gym, five bedrooms and six bathrooms are included. The dining room features cathedral ceilings, a tile-fronted fireplace and French doors. The living room has floor-to-ceiling windows.

Beyond the double-gated entry of the more than half-acre property, a circular driveway leads to a 10-car garage with a lift.

Carolla, 51, started hosting “The Adam Carolla Show,” a daily podcast series, in 2009. This year he co-wrote and directed the biographical film “Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman” and the movie “Road Hard,” about the life of a divorced stand-up comic.

An actor, producer and writer, his credits include “The Man Show” (1999-2004), “Crank Yankers” (2002-07) and “Family Guy” (2000-14).

The property had been leased out last year at $11,000 a month. The couple bought it in 2003 for $1.63 million.

Complete with Hollywood ties

Sports radio and television host Rich Eisen and his wife, sportscaster Suzy Shuster, have put their home in Beverly Hills on the market for $3.295 million.

The onetime residence of Frank Liberman, the late publicist to such Hollywood heavyweights as Bob Hope, Phyllis Diller and Robert Goulet, the 1950s house was recently updated. It has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in more than 3,100 square feet of open-plan living space.

The interior, done in dark wood floors and topped with large skylights, includes a formal living room with a wall fireplace, a media room, an office and an eat-in kitchen. A row of glass doors in the dining room takes in the landscaped grounds.

A lower level has a wine cellar, a laundry room and a two-car garage.

Outdoors, steps lead down to a swimming pool and spa flanked by an outdoor living room, built-in barbecue and fire pit. Privacy hedges made up of bamboo and olive trees complete the setting.

Eisen, 46, was a mainstay of ESPN’s “SportsCenter” for nearly a decade before joining the NFL Network in 2003. His radio show, “The Rich Eisen Show,” is broadcast on Sirius and Fox Sports Radio.

Shuster, 43, is an Emmy-Award-winning sportscaster who has previously worked for ESPN/ABC Sports, Fox Sports Net and NBA-TV.

The couple bought the house in 2003 for $1.94 million, public records show.

Edward Fitz of the Agency is the listing agent.

A history of intrigue

A dramatic desert home designed for late actor David Janssen is on the market in Palm Springs at $7.288 million.

In a very non-Hollywood ending, however, “The Fugitive” star never got to live in the residence.

Architect Edward Giddings designed La Piedra, as it is known, for the actor. But construction took seven years, and the getaway was not completed until 1983. Janssen died in 1980 at 48.

The sexy single-story home is in Southridge, a gated enclave long popular with Hollywood’s elite. Among neighboring properties is the distinctive Bob Hope property.

The stone-clad house has a sprawling 7,500 square feet of living space. Living spaces include a formal entry, a dome-topped great room with a bar and a dining room, a breakfast room, a gym, five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and a powder room. Floor-to-ceiling walls of glass take in expansive views of the desert, mountains and cityscape.

Encompassing 2.25 acres, the estate has such amenities as an outdoor kitchen, a travertine shuffleboard court flanked by putting greens, a fire pit with built-in stone benches and a resort-style swimming pool with a waterfall and a spa.

In addition to the hugely popular “Fugitive,” Janssen starred in several television shows in the late 1950s through the mid-’70s, including “Richard Diamond, Private Detective” and “Harry O.” Among his films of note are “To Hell and Back,” “The Green Berets” and “Marooned.”
