Junior Seau’s Oceanside home lists for $2.3 million after suicide
The beachfront San Diego County home of former NFL linebacker Junior Seau is on sale for nearly $2.3 million, nearly three months after the San Diego Chargers great committed suicide on the property.
Seau bought the 2,238-square-foot home in 2005 for $3.2 million, according to U-T San Diego. In early May, the body of the 43-year-old was found in the home, the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest.
Now real estate agent John Beran has listed the three-bedroom, 2.5-bath property at 604 S. The Strand in Oceanside as a “wonderful seaside home” that “boasts amazing ocean views.”
The home has a three-car garage and a courtyard patio and is close to the pier and marina, according to the listing.
Other notable Oceanside residents and natives include singer Jason Mraz, “Back to the Future” actor Christopher Lloyd and chef Thomas Keller.
Photos of the property are available here. For more ultra-expensive homes, check out this gallery.
