Live video chat with Reddit’s Alexis Ohanian on Thursday
Hard work, determination, blind optimism and sheer luck: Those are a few ways Alexis Ohanian has reached the front lines of a digital-first world.
Ohanian has cofounded and invested in some of the Internet’s most-viewed websites, including what is to date his most successful startup, Reddit, which in 2013 saw more than 731 million unique visitors pass through.
Ohanian chronicles his Internet activism and start-up adventures in “Without Their Permission: How the 21st Century Will Be Made, Not Managed.” The book also acts as a call to action of sorts for young people to take up arms and start coding their way to a better tomorrow.
Ohanian and his partner sold Reddit less than two years after it was founded for an undisclosed amount to Conde Nast. He was 24 years old at the time.
On Thursday at 5 p.m. PST we will host a live video chat with Ohanian to discuss his book, start-ups, activism and more. If you have questions for Ohanian, post them here or tweet us using the hashtag #ASKLATIMES.
